Nikhil completed his education from St. Xaviers School and College, Mumbai and thereafter graduated from Government Law College, Mumbai in 2009, after doing the 5 year Law Course. In 2013, Nikhil successfully obtained Solicitor’s Degree from the Bombay Incorporated Law Society.
Nikhil began working in Jayakar & Partners (erstwhile Khaitan, Jayakar Sub & Vora) as an intern from 2007 and thereafter worked as an Advocate Assistant since 2009. In April 2015, he worked for a brief stint with Hariani & Co. He thereafter joined Jayakar & Partners and was made a Partner in 2017.
He has significant experience and expertise in Arbitration, civil, commercial, customs and criminal law and regularly appears in the High Court, City Civil Courts, Tribunals and before Revenue and RERA Authorities. He also has vast experience in legal commercial documentation by virtue of drafting gamut of Deeds, Agreements, Conveyances and allied documents and has advised various Co-operative Housing Societies in their Re-Development projects.
Nikhil has also successfully dealt with matters involving complex legal issues pertaining to copyright laws, Intellectual Property Rights, Insolvency Laws, Indirect Taxes and has also regularly advised clients over issues concerning customs and excise laws and has evolved a specialised practice in this niche area.
